Is Industry-Specific Cloud Solutions the Future?
Last year, Microsoft unveiled a healthcare-focused cloud offering. Seeing success with that concept, Microsoft just announced they are launching three new industry-specific cloud solutions. This time they are targeting manufacturing, financial services and nonprofits.
These industry clouds will bring together common data models, cross-cloud connectors, workflows, APIs, and industry-specific components and standards. Also included would be Microsoft’s cloud services, including Microsoft 365 including Teams, Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and their security solutions.
If the pandemic taught us anything it was the importance of being adaptable to change at the drop of a hat. Industry-specific cloud solutions will allow businesses to adapt quickly to changing conditions. This structure will allow for businesses to grow and evolve regardless of where the future takes them.
Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing will help companies securely work remote, protect frontline workers, and create a more resilient supply chain. The end-to-end manufacturing solution will combine new and existing Microsoft products with partner offerings to create agile factories and facilities.
This solution will be available for public preview by the end of June.
Having a cloud environment that is set up to cater specific to your industry and the work you do each day is an exciting concept. If your business has not yet started adopting cloud solutions, now is the time to make the jump. Microsoft continues to find ways to make cloud adoption easier and beneficial to companies. 2W Tech is a Microsoft Gold Partner and has IT Consultants on staff that can introduce you to the benefits of the Microsoft Azure cloud.
