Epicor Takes a Big Step in Improving Sales Efforts

Epicor announced last week it has acquired KBMax, a provider of visualization and configure price quote (CPQ) software. KBMax solutions will be marketed under the Epicor brand as an individual module in the company’s productivity suite but will also support business continuity for any of its existing customers. This new tool will give Epicor ERP users a bridge between sales and operation data to help improve planning and production efforts.

This move in particular will strengthen certain functionality within the sales management module including:

  • More accurate sales quotes
  • Reducing order mistakes
  • Improve sales rep productivity
  • Provide visualized sales information
  • New centralized data hub delivering 360-degree views of customer order and fulfillment status

Epicor has made several strategic acquisitions to help strengthen areas of their Epicor ERP software, to help them on their journey to the becoming sole provider of mission critical business applications to customers in the key industries served, such as manufacturing.
