Introduction to Epicor Kinetic User Interface (UI)
Over the last 2-3 years, Epicor for the first time in over 15 years, is fundamentally presenting a new way for individual users to interact with their software. It began with Epicor Kinetic 2021.1, although Epicor dropped preview pieces in previous versions of the software. Epicor Kinetic user interface (UI) has been moving into the mainstream, with the end goal of replacing the classic UI. The menu and home screen and general organization have a brand-new, modern look. There is no set date for when the classic UI will be discontinued, speculation is 18-24 months from now.
For right now, users can still choose between using the classic UI or the modern UI. Users can switch back and forth between them. This is a great option for classic UI users that want to start getting familiar with the changes in the modern UI.
Another tip for an organization looking to make the jump to the modern UI is to have a user or two start learning the new interface. Once they get familiar with it or learn new functions and features, they can share with their colleagues. It is a slower adoption plan, but one that can make your team more comfortable with the change, as it feels more organic.
Take a few minutes and view our webinar on demand on our YouTube channel. James takes us through a demo of the modern UI, while Sam takes time at the end to answer some good questions from viewers. It is about an hour in length, but it is some really relevant content for Epicor users.
