Epicor announced this week that it has acquired privately-held docSTAR, an award-winning developer of document management software based in Schenectady, New York. docSTAR offered cloud-based enterprise content management (ECM) and automated accounts payable (AP) solutions, which will be a nice edition to the Epicor ERP solutions portfolio. This move by Epicor reconfirms their commitment to maximize the customer experience and functionality they offer, as well as adding to their cloud offerings. Today, nearly 2,000 organizations in North America use docSTAR solutions, which are either available as a cloud hosted service or on premises. The technologies docSTAR uses to streamline business processes integrates with Epicor ERP systems.
