03/11/24

Microsoft announced this week that Windows 10 21H2 will reach the end of updates on June 11, 2024. The Enterprise and Education editions will each the end of service at this time and any systems running Windows 10 21H2 will no longer receive monthly quality updates that support bug fixes or patches addressing newly identified security vulnerabilities.

End of support applies to these following editions that were released in November of 2021:

  • Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2
  • Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session 21H1
  • Windows 10 Education 21H2
  • Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 21H2

The termination of support will primarily affect Education and Enterprise customers, resulting in a halt to the monthly quality updates that are released to address bugs and vulnerabilities. Customers are encouraged to update to the latest version of Windows 10 or Windows 11 immediately to avoid exposing their systems to attacks and to remain supported. Version 22H2, the final version of Windows 10, has already had its end-of-support date confirmed: October 14, 2025.
