Have You Vetted Your ERP Partner Recently?

An ERP system is a big investment, so it is important to ensure you are trusting it to the right partner, especially since it’s a long partnership. One common mistake companies make is they choose an ERP partner and never periodically check their credentials again after the first agreement is made.

Not every vendor takes their partner programs serious, but for the ones that do, following the rules of the program is something they put a lot of stock in. 2W Tech is an Epicor Gold Partner and a Microsoft Gold Partner. Those designations were not just given to us, we had to earn them. There were sales and training requirements that were imposed upon us before we could claim gold level status.

It is not just enough to earn Gold status once, you must get re-certified every single year or your status can drop.  This doesn’t just hold true for Gold status, it is for all partner levels, for all partner types in a legitimate partner program. It is not uncommon for a vendor to de-certify a partner. This means, they are no longer authorized to sell or service their products.

Have you recently checked to ensure your ERP partner is still certified to be working with your ERP system? Let this blog serve as a warning, that if your partner is unauthorized, there is a very good reason for it.
