Experience Insights Heading to Microsoft 365
Microsoft has announced a new service for Microsoft 365 customers that will allow IT administrators to see data on usage at a glance, Experience Insights. This tool is now rolling out in limited preview. This new service will let M365 customers get a deeper understanding of the user experience through various data points across the app.
Microsoft 365 will surface data on an app or service to see how it is being used, what feedback was left, and survey responses. Admins can see which self-service articles are getting the most traction. Experience Insights will not collect user-level data, tenant-level only.
The goal of Experience Insight is to understand what topics your organization needs more training and resources on. You will gain insight into the top articles for specific apps or services viewed within your organization, as well as the number of users viewing the app. You can use this data to understand what your users are trying to do and where their knowledge may be struggling. There are users that will not seek out help, so this is a back-door way to identify content that may be beneficial to your entire team.
