Epicor doesn’t make ERP software specific to every market, but their goal is to be the cloud vendor of choice in the markets they do serve. Epicor announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft Azure in May 2018 and that relationship has allowed Epicor to deepen and evolve their cloud business. As of last month, there are over 500 companies leveraging Epicor ERP in the cloud. Continuing their momentum, Epicor Software Corporation just announced that Epicor ERP 10.2.400 release is now generally available.

Epicor continues to make investments in Manufacturing capabilities, with functionality that can leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) in order to connect machines and gather data across factory floors. They are also still “customer-obsessed,” and have worked on modernizing and enhancing user interactions and experience throughout the entire customer journey. Epicor continues invest in functionality aligned to experiences, analytics and industry.

Epicor is investing heavily in usability, which we saw in the release of Epicor ERP 10.2.300. This release introduced us to a modern user experience (UX) featuring their Kinetic Design System. Kinetic is a best-in-class UX design framework that delivers a modern look and feel while improving system usability and performance. In Epicor ERP 10.2.400, they are introducing new mobile time and expense management applications built on the Kinetic Design System, to capture time and expense entry and approvals. They also enhanced the usability of their Gantt-based job scheduling board for a modern customer experience.

Epicor also introduced Epicor Virtual Agent* (EVA), an intelligent digital agent embedded in the software and enables users to get information in a quick and easy way, through voice or text. Finally, utilizing DocStar, they will offer Sales Order Automation integrated into Epicor ERP, which will reduce customer time and touch-points, and accelerate their sales and fulfillment velocity. Analytics is another area where Epicor made some investments in this release. New content packs were released for both field service and preventive maintenance, as well as enhanced content packs for projects and production. Users will gain greater insights into the status of their field service team, their asset performance, as well as projects and ERP MES.
