Delete Messages Features on the Way for Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is getting a new feature that will allow supervisors to moderate chats. The feature, entitled “Microsoft Teams: Chat supervisors can delete messages” – feature ID 82939 – will give supervisors the ability to delete inappropriate or derailing messages so conversations do not wander off topic or become toxic.

This feature was inspired by Microsoft Teams for Education, where the need to moderate chats in the classroom setting is the basis for its development. The feature was slated for release this month, but it also is still labeled as “in development.”

Microsoft has several updates in the pipeline for Teams users, including Spam call notifications and support for Breakout Rooms Managers. In August, Teams rolled out Call Health Panel that allows meeting participants to troubleshoot connection issues.

Microsoft is constantly adding new features to Teams to make your video teleconferencing experience as smooth as possible. You can stay on top of these updates on your own, or you can partner with 2W Tech. We’re a Microsoft Gold Partner with IT consultants on staff who can introduce your organization to Microsoft 365 and Teams. Call us today to learn more.
