What is Epicor Data Discovery?
Epicor Data Discovery(EDD) is a data visualization tool that helps to analyze real-time operational data from your Epicor ERP. With EDD, users can quickly spot areas of interest in real-time production data that they might have otherwise missed by just looking at rows and columns of numbers.
In the Data Discovery view, users can set filters and drag and drop measures and dimensions to produce rich visualizations. They can then focus on a data point or area and drill down into the underlying ERP transactional detail. EDD is driven by real-time BAQs in your Epicor ERP, as well as other data sources. EDD is often used with Epicor Data Analytics (EDA), as EDD visualizes short-term data, whereas EDA analyzes long-term data.
Epicor Data Discovery comes with many pre-defined data sources, and you can add your own as well. Data views can be changed by users, with the option of sharing or keeping them private. EDD runs in a web browser, so it gives a user easy access from just about anywhere and standard licenses are included with your Epicor ERP (versions 10.2 and beyond).
