As Microsoft looks to conquer the video conferencing space, they continue to add brilliant new features in Microsoft Teams. Microsoft is adding artificial intelligence based noise suppression to Teams starting next month. This new Teams functionality will use Microsoft’s AI technology to reduce background noise during meetings. It has the ability to analyze the video feed and reduce sounds produced in the background. Say goodbye to clicking pen noise and squeaky chairs. This new feature update will be available to Microsoft desktops running Windows 10, 8.1 and 7.

An update to Microsoft Teams desktop just added full screen mode and the ability for meeting organizers to view and manage meeting options directly in the new meeting experience.

If you run Teams on iOS, Microsoft added a privacy feature.  It is now protecting your sensitive data by stopping message previews using its device management platform Intune. Microsoft has also added natural language support for when you are searching for messages, spelling suggestions and Caller ID for voicemail messages. Call controls will now always show on the screen with more options showing on your iPad.

Microsoft continues to strengthen an already tough Teams. Add in the additional benefit of countless Microsoft integrations, and Zoom may be dead in the water. I can’t wait to see what is ahead for Teams, as Microsoft is showing no signs of slowing down adding features and functionality.
