Microsoft Teams Continues To Roll-out Enhancements
Microsoft Teams has just rolled-out some new features and updates that will help make working remote easier. One of the most significant updates is a number of improvements within the apps for both iPhones and Android smartphones.
The Android app allows people to generate links for meeting invites for those that do not have a Teams account, and adds a new Safe Key setting. You also now have the ability to upload images to your gallery and search inside chats and channels.
Enhancements to the iPhone app include the ability to now view 8 people at one time on your phone and 9 people on your iPad. You can also now see an agenda view of upcoming meetings which people can join, edit or share with their contacts. But the best update for users is probably the new setting to reduce the amount of data Teams uses while video is on. Microsoft just recently confirmed Cortana voice assistance has been made available in the US and this will be rolled out gradually to Teams users. Proof more exciting features are still to come.
Teams users can now see up to 49 participants at one time in a grid view, which was the advantage Zoom had over them. You also have the ability to customize your left side bar, allowing you to rearrange and pin and unpin your apps.
