Epicor Application Studio
Ever since Epicor announced version 11 of their software will be released sometime this summer, plenty of Epicor users and partners have been speculating about what we will see in this next release. We know from the last few software releases, Epicor has been focusing improving the user experience. Epicor is making it easier for users to create their own experiences by using Epicor Application Studio, which was first introduced in Epicor 10.2.600.
Epicor Application Studio allows you to tailor the system with a best practice approach that is cloud friendly and upgrade resilient. You can create layers, add/change components, rules, and events through a visual designer with drag and drop functionality in a low/no code environment.
With Application Studio, users can easily configure Kinetic applications with layers, using a visual designer with rules and events, moving elements around with drag and drop functionality, and previewing and validating changes before going live, among other innovative features. To think all of this is possible with little to no code is a major product feature that will attract many clients to upgrade to Epicor ERP 11.
It is way past time user experience moves to the forefront and becomes a priority. I am anxious to see the improvements to Epicor Application Studio and other features in the upcoming Epicor ERP 11.
