Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a buzzword but instead something that impacts everyday lives, both in personal and business. Every business sector has adopted it in one way, shape, or form. There are three types of artificial intelligence based-on capabilities:
- Narrow AI: is also referred to as weak AI and focuses on one narrow task. It cannot perform beyond its limitations. This has become increasingly common in our day-to-day lives as machine learning and deep learning take on a life of their own.
- General AI: it also referred to as strong AI and can learn and understand any intellectual task that a human can perform. This AI allows a machine to apply knowledge and skills in different contexts. Think supercomputers, however strong AI has not happened yet. Stay tuned.
- Super AI: surpasses human intelligence and can perform tasks better than a human. The goal of this technology is to evoke emotions, needs, beliefs, and desires of tis own. The existence of this is still hypothetical.
