The Sound of Success: Our Tradition of Celebrating Wins

As the CEO of 2W Tech, I have always been proud of the relentless drive and unwavering commitment our team demonstrates every day. We are a group constantly on the move, always looking for the next challenge to conquer. But a few years back, amid our hustle, we realized during a company planning meeting: we were so engrossed in our work that we rarely took a moment to celebrate our triumphs.

That we never ‘ring the bell.’  It was a wake-up call for all of us.

I decided it was time to change that. I was looking for a tangible way to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that each team member puts in. So, I went out and bought a bell and placed it on my desk. Little did I know that this bell was destined to become a herald of success within our company.

Now, every Friday during our all-hands meetings, we come together as a team and near the end we open it up to anyone who wants to ‘ring the bell’ for a colleague. Sometimes it is for some extraordinary effort but many times it is a shout out for being reliable and dependable. And after each mention I literally ring the bell for that person and for that moment, we all stop and celebrate. It is a sound that signifies recognition, a communal pat on the back, and a collective cheer for a job well done. Many times, this continues for 10 or 15 minutes as a progression of teammates give a shout out to their colleagues.  It is, hands down, the highlight of my week.

This tradition has become a cornerstone of our company culture at 2W Tech. It is a reminder to all of us that while we are indeed here to push boundaries and achieve remarkable things, we cannot do it alone. We are here to support each other and revel in our shared accomplishments. The bell serves as a powerful reminder that every milestone, no matter how small it may seem, is a step forward for our company.

So, here is to the successes we have had and many more to come. Here is to the team that makes it all possible. And here is to the bell on my desk, which will continue to ring out as a testament to the exceptional work we do at 2W Tech.
