Instead of sifting through multiple pages of help search results, users can simply ask Knowledge Assistant a question and receive a concise, practical answer. Information is delivered directly within the ERP platform, based on the user’s current screen, eliminating the need to navigate away. This tool offers comprehensive access to all Epicor learning and help content without requiring additional queries.

Powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI and ChatGPT-4, Epicor Knowledge Assistant leverages innovative natural language processing (NLP) and generative chat technology.

When users pose a question, the Assistant employs Azure AI Search to locate the most relevant Epicor documentation articles. It then uses Azure OpenAI and ChatGPT-4 to quickly interpret the articles and provide an accurate response.

This feature streamlines the process of finding information, saving users from the tedious task of reviewing multiple articles. The provided answers are based solely on Epicor-supplied sources, including help guides, user manuals, and technical documents, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and security.

Epicor Knowledge Assistant significantly reduces the time and effort required to learn new features or troubleshoot issues within Epicor. Whether a beginner or a power user, anyone can ask questions related to Epicor and receive clear, helpful answers. For instance, asking “How do I create a part?” will provide the exact steps to create a part record in Epicor Kinetic, while asking “How do I return a dataset from an Epicor function?” yields detailed instructions, including code snippets.

This tool accelerates access to vital information, allowing users to promptly return to their tasks. Additionally, Knowledge Assistant supports over one hundred languages and will be available for selected customers in the spring releases of Epicor Kinetic and Epicor Prophet 21.
