Microsoft Fabric Brings New AI-Powered Data Analytics Features
Today kicked off the Microsoft Build conference and in true Microsoft fashion, which meant some big news! Microsoft announced Microsoft Fabric, an end-to-end data analytics platform that incorporates Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI into a unified solution. And this is just day one of the conference!
“With Microsoft Fabric, customers can use a single product with a unified experience and architecture that provides all the capabilities required for a developer to extract insights from data and present it to the business user. And by delivering the experience as Software as a Service (SaaS), everything is automatically integrated and optimized, and users can sign up within seconds and get real business value within minutes,” Arun Ulagaratchagan, CVP of Azure Data for Microsoft, explained earlier today.
Microsoft Fabric centers around Microsoft’s OneLake data lake but can also pull in data from Amazon S3 and Google Cloud Platform, and brings together data analytics tools required for data integration, data engineering, data warehousing, data science, real-time analytics, business intelligence, and more.
There is also a new no-code developer experience that allows users to monitor their data in real time and trigger actions and notifications based on that data. Microsoft Fabric has deep integrations with Microsoft Teams and other Office applications and the company also plans to integrate its AI-powered Copilot assistant into Microsoft Fabric.
Microsoft Fabric is currently available in public preview. Microsoft is also doing something unique and offering a free trial on this page to anyone who wants to try the service without having to provide a credit card. Microsoft will roll out Microsoft Fabric in all Power BI tenants on July 01, 2023.
