The most talked about topic at Epicor’s Insights 2024 was artificial intelligence. Epicor has AI-supported BI and forecasting capabilities ready now for primetime, more to come later this year. Epicor is calling this their Grow Portfolio.

This platform includes six core components and uses various type of AI including generative, machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics to deliver results.

The six core components include:

  • Epicor Prism: Generative AI service embedded across the Epicor ERP Cloud platforms and data structure. Users can engage with it in their native Epicor ERP platform.
  • Epicor Grow AI: These applications include multiple capabilities including inventory forecasting, AI generated sales orders, order history-based product suggestions, predictive maintenance recommendations for fleets, and so much more.
  • Epicor Grow Inventory Forecasting: Models “what-if” scenarios and uses predictive analytics to better manage inventory. This uses an embedded forecasting engine that Epicor acquired with Smart Software.
  • Epicor Grow FP&A: Offers embedded financial planning and analysis for easily digestible financial reporting.
  • Epicor Grow BI: No-code technology to make visual representation of data easy! You can create visuals, metrics, and dashboards. Easily pair data blueprints with other BI tools.
  • Epicor Grow Data Platform: Full-stack, no-code data platform that allows enterprises to manage data in one place.

“We know the keys to realizing the full power of AI revolve around two important things: applying AI to a well-defined, practical business issue, and leveraging high quality data,” said Epicor chief product and technology officer Vaibhav Vohra, in a statement. “Our new Epicor Grow portfolio delivers on both fronts, putting workers at the center of the intelligence ecosystem. We are delivering deep AI integration across real-world industry workflows — unlike ‘one size fits all’ industry-agnostic ERPs – to surface actionable insights and drive efficiencies. And we are empowering users with a rich, industry-centric data platform and no-code tools to create purpose-built data pipelines to help solve specific challenges.”

As an Epicor Platinum Elite partner, 2W Tech is excited to see where Epicor takes their Grown portfolio next. Grow Inventory Forecasting, Grow BI, and Grow FP&A are already generally available. In fourth quarter of 2024, in a controlled release we will see Prism, Grow AI, and Grow Data Platform.
